Our fireplaces are designed for optimal performance in calm conditions.
If it's too windy, the flames can become unpredictable.
Rain can affect the burn and safety, so it's best to use it in dry conditions.
-
Safety first!
Always use the fireplace on a stable, non-flammable surface.
Keep it away from flammable materials and never leave it unattended when lit.
Ensure children and pets are supervised around the fireplace.
Remember to let it cool down before moving or refueling.
-
Our personal fireplace is crafted from a unique blend of high-temp and high-strength concrete, designed to withstand heat.
The bases are also made of concrete, while the lids are fashioned from hand-sanded, untreated cedar.
While the design ensures durability, it's natural for the exterior to become warm during use and using anything other than 70% isopropyl alcohol may reduce lifespan of the concrete.
Always handle with care, and avoid touching the burning area directly.
-
After a single burn, the fireplace will be warm but typically not too hot, making it okay to refuel and relight.
However, following a second burn, the fireplace will become noticeably warmer.
In such cases, wait until the fire pit has cooled down to the touch before adding more fuel and reigniting.
If burning 70% alcohol you may notice that there may be liquid left at the bottom of the fire pit chamber after the flame has gone out. This is normal and is just water. Dump out this water before refuelling so as to not shorten your burn time.
